SPs UGM participated in AUN-QA for the first time

SPs Jogja (10/6/2021) Masters Program in Religion and Cross-Cultural Studies and Masters in Performing Arts and Fine Arts Studies at UGM Graduate School carried out ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) activities for the first time from 7 to 11 June 2021.

AUN-QA, which is one of AUN's activities, aims to ensure the quality of study programs that are members of AUN, and UGM is one of its members. AUN is an inter-university organization at the Asean level, which has the aim of expanding and strengthening cooperation in the field of higher education between countries in Asean.

The AUN QA assessment procedure is carried out independently, starting with writing the SAR (Sef-Assessment Report). The next process is to confirm the completeness of the documents and determine the actions to improve the SAR, after which the reviewer team from AUN members from other ASEAN countries will conduct a visit. The visitation is intended to provide input on the self-assessment.

AUN QA is not an accreditation, but an assessment, because accreditation is part of QA. AUN-QA itself refers to international accreditation standards that have been prepared by various ASEAN QA experts led by the National University of Singapore.

This event will be held offline and online according to health protocols. Academic staff and all education staff in the Graduate School are involved in this activity. The participants were: 10 people including postgraduate school leaders and study program heads, 9 academic staff, 15 education staff, 10 alumni, 11 active students and 11 active lecturers.

The series of preparatory events to take part in the AUN have been prepared by KJM, which includes a preparatory meeting on January 12, 2021, AUN SAR Document Review Workshop on March 2, 2021, the AUN readiness test on May 19, 2021, Zoom Management Team Orientation on May 25, and rehearsals. net on June 4, 2021.
