    Study Program Population Master Program

    Gadjah Mada University has opened this program academic year of 1982/1983, the reasons for opening this program are:

    1. Population problems in Indonesia are serious problems which need to be handled carefully.
    2. The efforts to solve population problems are not only the responsibility of the government and population experts but also of the whole Indonesian society. Population program such as quantity control, quality and productivity enhancement, and broadening employment opportunities are the responsibility of all Indonesian people.
    3. Higher education should produce population thinkers, researchers, and implementers who capable of being an agent of change.

    Goal

    The goals of this program are to:

    1. Be able to recognize, observe, approach and intellectually think about population problems.
    2. Possess abilities and skills of population to occupy appropriate positions.
    3. Possess knowledge to develop knowledge and continue to a higher level education.
    4. Be able to plan and research to develop population science and solve the population problems.
    5. Possess a wide perspective with knowledge background on population problems.

    Credits and Term

    This program can be finished after 42-50 credits with 8 compulsory credits, and 2 elective courses minimum. The learning term is 3-4 semesters with 8 semesters maximum since being accepted as a student in this program.

    Tuition Fee

    The tuition fee for this program is Rp. 5.250.000, - practicum and research fees are included but a matriculation is not included. Applicants who are employed by national ministries may apply for a BPPS scholarship by filling the form available at every public university.

    Registration Conditions

    1. Copy of legal undergraduate certificate.
    2. Copy of legal transcript
    3. Recommendation Letter (may be in essay form) from a person who acknowledges the applicant is academic ability.
    4. Study objectives concerning reasons, hopes and plan for joining this program.
    5. Institution Permission Letter (if working in an institution)
    6. Statement Letter to guarantee private payment of tuition fee.
    7. Copy of TPA of OTO Bappenas by score of 500.
    8. Copy of International TOEFL or from PPB with a minimum score of 450.
    9. Stamped envelope with name and address of the applicant written on it.
    10. Proof of selection fee payment Rp. 500.000, - (TPA and TOEFL test included)
    11. Statement letter of good health.

    To equate perception and smooth the learning process, the applicants should join the matriculation program of 6 courses (12 credits). The schedule is in July and August for six weeks
