GADJAH MADA UNIVERSITY- Description
Master program of performing arts and visual arts studies offer an opportunity to the new students that is not only with arts background, but also with other bachelor degree background to join us. We offer the opportunity for anyone interested in studying and developing performing and visual arts from various perspective and scientific dimension.
Producing a graduates that has an ability to develop knowledge in arts performing and visual arts studies with the combination of textual perspective/artistic and contextual/non-artistic in performing and visual arts studies. We also producing a graduate that can conduct a scientific research with knowledge in performing and visual arts according to the object with applying the right theory and methods.

Objectives:
Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies master program objectives are:
1. Being a superior program in performance and Visual Arts Studies with scientific integrity and internationally recognized competence.
2. Produce graduates who are able to develop knowledge in accordance with their fields and competencies. As well as being able to develop theories, concepts and methodologies in the fields of performance and visual arts, including: scientific publications, both at national and international levels.
3. Become a national and international reference that is environmentally aware and responsive to society, nation and state problems based on the values of local excellence.
4. Expand alumni network and cooperation in improving the quality of infrastructure and the ability to education financing, research, and community service in the fields of performance and visual arts

Master of Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies offers at least 45 credits and a maximum of 47 credits scheduled for 4 (four) semesters and at the latest 6 (six) semesters including thesis.
- Information on Current Semester
The academic year begins in August and ends in June, with the first semester running from early August to mid-January and the second from early February to late June.

Applicants who meet the requirements below, can apply to become a master program participant in the same field of study as the field of study or other fields of study approved by the Chairperson of the Study Program:
- Original undergraduate certificate or a photocopy that has been legalized. An undergraduate certificate or equivalent from an accredited Study Program in the field of science that is appropriate and / or related to the Masters program to be followed. Particularly for overseas graduates, must have a undergraduate certificate equalization document from the DIKTI.
- Original transcripts or photocopied that have been legalized. Having Original transcripts or photocopied that have been legalized, with undergraduate GPA as follows:
- ≥ 2,50 in scale 4 or equivalent, for applicants from A accredited undergraduate study program, or;
- ≥ 2,75 in scale 4 or equivalent, for applicants from B accredited undergraduate study program, or;
- ≥ 3,00 in scale 4 or equivalent, for applicants from C accredited undergraduate study program.
- Study program accreditation certificate at undergraduate level or equivalent, with the following conditions:
- The accreditation of the study program is current accreditation and is proven by a scan of the accreditation certificate or print screen accreditation from the current BAN-PT page.
- The Study Program which accreditation is in the process of being extended is proven by the receipt of the accreditation form submission to the DIKTI, not a certificate from the relevant university.
- Particularly for overseas graduates applicants, the proof of accreditation is Overseas Diploma Declaration from DIKTI.
- The document will not be processed further If the accreditation document is invalid.
- Certificate of Academic Potential Test results with a minimum score of 450 and proven by a valid certificate, which is a maximum of 2 years from the date of issuance of the certificate (choose one):
- Tes Potensi Akademik (TPA) BAPPENAS
- Tes Potensi Akademik Pascasarjana (PAPs) UGM
- Tes Kemampuan Potensi Akademik (TKPA HIMPSI)
- Certificate of English proficiency test results and proven with a valid certificate, which is a maximum of 2 years from the date of issuance of the certificate. The recognized English proficiency certificate is (choose one):
- Academic English Proficiency Test (AcEPT) from UGM with a minimum score of ≥ 149, or;
- International English Testing System (IELTSfrom institutions recognized by the IDP with a minimum score of ≥ 4.0, or;
- ITP from IIEF with a minimum score of ≥ 400, or;
- Test of English Proficiency (TOEP) from Pusat Layanan Tes Indonesia (PLTI) recognized by DIKTI for lecturer certification with a minimum score of ≥ 26.
- Confidential recommendations from 2 (two) people who know prospective students at the previous level of education. Academic Supervisors and/or other people deemed to be authorized, for example the employer of the prospective student. The link to provide online recommendations will be sent by the UM UGM Committee to the recommendations via email. Make sure the recommendation email address is an active email address.
- Health certificate from a hospital, health center or clinic that has permission from the government/private sector.
- Special condition:
- Projections of the aspirations of prospective students in participating in the Master Program which include, topic plans / research interests and reasons and expectations of participating in the chosen program, research topic plans, and plans after study completion.
- A letter of study approval or study assignment from the institution for those who already have a job.
- If the data has locked, a photocopy of the registration file in hardcopy format is sent to the Office of the Performing Arts and Visual Arts Study Program, Unit 2 Building, 1st floor of the Postgraduate School Building Jl. Teknika Utara, Pogung, Sleman Yogyakarta.
- Time and Registration Procedure
Registration is open every semester online through http://um.ugm.ac.id with the following procedure.
- Creating a registration account at http://um.ugm.ac.id
- Register online on the page by uploading the required documents. All documents are uploaded, except for recommendation letters. The recommendation letter must be filled in directly by the recommendation provider online.
- Pay registration fees through the multi-payment system of Bank Mandiri, BNI, BRI, BPD DIY, CIMB NIAGA and Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM).
- Print proof of registration that will be used for registration purposes if declared as a prospective graduate student program.
