INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON MIDDLE EAST ISSUE �Middle-East Current Political Development: The Perspectives of Egypt, Syria and Lebanon�
Egypt, Syria and Lebanon are three countries close to Israel and involve to Palestinian Arab-Israel conflict since Israel independence. They involve in seven wars, namely independent war (1948), Suez War (1956), Six Days War (1967), Yom Kippur War or Ramadhan War (1973), South Lebanon War (1982 and 2006), and the last is Gaza War (2008/2009) and several small wars with minor victims and damages. Those wars create a lot of damages and death tolls for these three countries, and also foreign intervention and refugees reservation.
This seminar aim is to find out the current involvement of these three countries in Palestinian Arab-Israel conflict especially since Benyamin Netanyahu elected as Israel prime minister and Barrack Obama elected as USA president. And also to discuss their role on Palestinian Arab-Israel peace process.
Since its independence, Indonesian political history always support Palestinian independence struggle. This background shows that Indonesian representation in these three countries has diplomatic mission to support peace process on the struggle of independence Palestina.
