Disaster which occurred in many parts of the word in the last decades, have created human tragedy and destroyed economic foundation of the society. In developing countries, natural, and ‘man made’ calamity such as war, riots, conflicts, and financial collapse have impeded development process and poverty alleviations. The poor, in both developed and developing countries, often are those who most severely affected by disaster. They often lived in vulnerable place and had limited access to resources needed to mitigate or recover during and/or after disaster occur.
Speaker:27 speaker from local (Indonesia) and international institution. The seminar will emphasize multidisciplinary perspective covering themes on socio-cultural, religion, and science and technology. The papers will be divided into three categories, and discussed in three subsequent days:
